Terms & Conditions

• Below are the Terms and Conditions of the 'Geek for a Week' prompotion on behalf of the Rowner Carnival 2010 and Nimrod Community Centre Garden Project.
  
      Please read these terms and conditions carefully. If you purchase raffle tickets or bid on the eBay auction, we will assume that you have read these rules and that you agree to them.

  1. To partake in the raffle draw and/or eBay auction you must be: (a) Aged 18 or over; and (b) Be a Business or Organisation in the Gosport Area and have the authority to act on it's behalf.

  2. The raffle and eBay auction is not open to domestic residences or private individuals.

  3. If you wish to purchase raffle tickets offline (in person) this can be arranged, please contact us for further details. We are unable to bid on your behalf on the eBay auction.

  4. No responsibility can be accepted for purchases of raffle tickets or eBay auction bids that are not completed correctly. Both the eBay auction system and PayPal payment systems are thrid-parts platforms to whit we have no control.

  5. The raffle winner will be the first and only ticket pulled from all sold tickets on the advertised date and time at the advertised venue, This action will be witnessed by impartial adjudicators. The eBay auction winner will be automatically selected upon entering the highest bid, this action does not require any adjudication as eBays system is secure and impartial.

  6. The closing date for the raffle and eBay auction is as specified on this website, we reserve the right to amend the end date at any time.

  7. If you win either the raffle or eBay auction, we will notify you by e-mail and/or telephone.

  8. You can find out who has either prize by checking this website after the raffle has been drawn and the eBay auction has ended.

  9. By entering the raffle and/or eBay auction the winner agrees to participate in such promotional activity and material as Solent Solutions, Rowner Access Point, Nimrod Community Centre and the Rowner Carnival may require.

  10. The prize will not be transferable to another person.

  11. No part of a prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize.

  12. The prize for both the rafle and eBay auction is specificly 1 x Part-Time weeks time or 16 Hours, which will used on a 'credit basis' i.e the winner can call upon Solent Solutions for a maximum of 16 hours. The advertised value of this prize is £720 which is based upon a 1hr call-out charge of £45 x 16hrs.

  13.  The prize for both the raffle and eBay auction is specificly for time-only IT support. Solent Solutions will provide support via on-site visit's, email or telephone depending on what is required by the client and what Solent Solutions deems neccessery. Solent Solutions deccission on what work can be undertaken is final.

  14. This raffle and eBay auction is being run by 'Solent Solutions' C/O Rowner Access Point, Nimrod Community Centre, Nimrod Drive, Gosport Hampshire.

  15. Please read our Privacy Policy which tells you how we use any personal information we may collect about you by entering the raffle and/or eBay auction.

  16. Solent Solutions reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. Solent Solutions may also create rules which will apply to the raffle or eBay auction only. If we do this we will publish the amended rules and/or specific rules on this page.

  17. Solent Solutions will endeavour to provide the agreed services at times preferable to the winner but cannot offer any  guarantee. Solent Solutions will work with you to find mutually appropriate dates and times.

Please note that Solent Solutions is required to provide the Terms & Conditions / Rules above to protect ourselves and the winner(s) from any misunderstandings. Solent Solutions is an open and honest company that works with a large number of local businesses and rest assured we will assist the winner(s) to the best of our ability as if they we're a paying customer.
